(1992) A Nearing hybrid from a Conestoga seedling. Our plant came from the Kellam collection. It has white flowers and is a lepidote (smaller leaves) rhodo. This plant is located on the trail, in the area just south of the old entrance to the Glen and west of the Kellam Trail. It is near R. ‘Hallelujah’.

(1992) A Dexter hybrid from the Kellam collection. Originally labelled ‘Wellfleet’, the plant was relabelled ‘Willard’ by Marshall Stilwell, based on his knowledge of the Dexter plants. This plant is located on the trail, in the area just south of the old entrance to the Glen and west of the Kellam Trail. It is just north of R. ‘Wyanokie’.

(1995) A very large (8-12 feet tall and as broad) plant with flowers ranging in color from white to pink, and fragrant, blooming in late spring. This large azalea is located in the area just south of the Kellam Area. The large, multi-stemmed azalea is located off the trail, about midway between the Bog Trail and the Kellam Connecting Trail.

(1992) This species is from the Kellam collection. It is one of the earliest rhodos to bloom, opening with light pink flowers, soon fading to white. It is just north of R.’Nestucca’, on the trail in the north section of the Kellam Trail.

(2011) A Lancaster hybrid with fiery red flowers. It is located off the trail, in the area just south of the Short Branch and west of the Kellam Trail. It is due west of R. ‘Yaku Prince’.

(Before 1980) An older hybrid by the Englishman, Anthony Waterer. It has been a good grower in the Glen, a compact plant with brick-red flowers. It is located in the area adjoining (north) of the Kellam area, just off the trail near the intersection with the Kellam Spur Trail.
Rhododendron 'Van Nes Sensation' #3
(Before 1980) A widely planted hybrid in the original Glen plantings in the seventies. It has pale lilac flowers, shading to white and is located off the trail, in the area containing the Hemlock grove and Short Branch on the southside. Due to lack of light from the hemlocks, it is spreading laterally and not a good specimen. It is close to the Short Branch and the fence.
Rhododendron 'Van Nes Sensation' #2
(Before 1980) A widely planted hybrid in the original Glen plantings in the seventies. It has pale lilac flowers, shading to white and is located just off the trail, in the area containing the Hemlock grove and Short Branch on the southside. It is close to the Short Branch and the Hemlock grove to the northside.

(Before 1980) An old, tall azalea of unknown species. It is located in the Kellam Area, off the trail, growing up through part of the huge Barnstable rhodo, east of the Kellam sign.

(1991) A Greer hybrid donated by Dr. Means, with pink flowers borne on a huge truss of 14 flowers. It is located on the southwest corner of the Kellam Area where the Kellam Trail intersects with the Kellam Connecting Trail.
